Even with Lil Wayne and Birdman’s ongoing court bаttle, Cash Money chief managed to wish the New Orleans rapper a happy birthday on Tuesday, September 27.

Since complaining on Twitter about his problems with the label in December 2014, when he claimed that both Birdman and Cash Money were stopping him from releasing his much awaited album Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne, who turned 34 on Tuesday, has been embroiled in a spat with both of them. “I want all of my fans to know that Baby & Cash Money Rec. have refused to release my album, so it won’t and hasn’t been released,” he tweeted. “I wish I could remove this label and have nothing to do with these people, but sadly, it’s not that simple.” “My creativity and I are both prisoners,” Wayne continued.

Though Lil Wayne has seized the opportunity to throw Cash Money the finger at numerous gigs like a May 21 concert in Denver and a May 28 performance in Phoenix, over two years have passed and there has been no indication of the album. In an appearance on the FS1 programme Skip and Shannon on September 13: Unquestionably, though, Lil Wayne stated he wouldn’t collaborate with Birdman once more if the money was right. He said, “Give me mine, and I’ll walk off, free, smiling.” 



The birthday wishes also coincide with reports that rapper David Banner was paid nearly $160,000 by Lil Wayne’s own record label Young Money for his work on the 2008 album Tha Carter III and the 2009 compilation We Are Young Money, according to TMZ. Lil Wayne and David Banner’s representatives have been contacted by Billboard for comments.
